These sashes are inexpensive to make, hardly time consuming, and give your reception a cute and original atmosphere. Best of all, there are so many ways to make them, so you can customize them just the way you like. Here’s our take on the DIY burlap sash:
We simply bought a roll of burlap with finished edges so it wouldn’t fray. We cut the burlap to length for our chair. Using some cream lace, we tied a knot around the burlap to bunch it together and inserted one of our hand-made book page roses to finish it off. You could use real flowers, a letter for your last name, or leave it plain depending on your style.
