Welcome to July everyone! Does this year feel like it’s flying by? It does to use here at Raspberry Creative!
We are bringing back a little series we tried a few years back called DIY July but instead of random DIY projects every week, we are focusing on simple, inexpensive DIY projects you can do with washi tape. Washi tape crafts are everywhere and I know that none of our projects are new but we’ve been obsessed with the stuff here in the shop lately and I just felt like we had to share some simple crafts that we love with you. Today we are starting with decorating simple, inexpensive tea lights. Whether you are adding a little ambiance to your backyard bar-b-q or looking for a way to decorate a party table, adding washi tape to tea lights is so simple and they look so cute!
All you need to do is make sure your tea lights are clean and dry and if they are bent anywhere, try to straighten them out. Then simply wrap the outside of the tea light with your choice of washi tape, cut to size and you are done! This little project literally takes seconds!
I made mine in festive red, white and blue patters so that we can decorate with them at our 4th of July picnic this weekend.
What are some of your favorite diy projects with washi tape? Are you doing any fun DIY projects for the 4th of July? We’d love to hear about them in the comments!
