In this Pinterest world that we are ALL so in-love with, it can create quit a bit of motivation to change something! Maybe your hair, clothes, home renovation, reorganizing your closet, cooking new recipes or finding new things that you never knew existed. I know that I have too many boards to keep track of and something like over 3000 pins. I find it relaxing to check it out. I love getting new recipes to try, and picking out clothes & shoes that I would LOVE to own and wear (but they are WAY to expensive!). I have some “secret” boards that I enjoy pinning items too that inspire me in my everyday life. Whether it be from helping my daughter & her girl-scout troop, to looking at baby items for my friends, and then wedding items! What can I say…I’m a romantic at heart.
It struck me the other day that when I was looking through one of my boards, I had pinned lots of font styles that I just love. I found myself falling for fonts. I immediately downloaded some of them to my computer! Now, I’m just waiting for the right time to use them.
I think that it is amazing how each of us are drawn to different things. Smells, colors, patterns, voices, textures, etc… I find this to be true of fonts as well. Just because I think that a font is amazing doesn’t mean that you will. Just because I love the stroke pattern doesn’t mean that you’ll even notice it. You might just read the words and not notice anything else about it, and that’s okay too.
The point that I’m trying to make is that we all find ourselves enjoying different things in different ways. I decided to make this quick and easy font chart of some “script” fonts that I enjoy. I like them each differently. Some of them are very ornate, while others look flawless.
The next time you want to create something, take into consideration how you react to the font. Do you LOVE it?
