The shop is closed today for Labor Day so we can spend some time with family and friends. I’m kind of sad that this is the unofficial end to summer, but fall is my favorite time of year. So despite knowing cold weather is fast approaching, there is a part of me that is very excited. I love football and sweaters, the changing leaves and the brisk air. I love lighting a fire and curling up with B on the couch. I love the smell of pumpkin pie and all the pretty decorations this time of year. I love pulling out my boots and chunky socks and needing to wear a jacket outside.
As we unofficially say goodbye to summer and hello to fall, I thought I’d share some pretty fall decorating that I’ll be using as inspiration in my own home very soon! We love more than pretty paper around here so here’s to inspiring you beyond just planning your wedding party.
From sprucing up your front entry, decorating your mantel or creating a lovely centerpiece like the one below, I just love seeing pumpkins every where this time of year!
I just love all the textures that come with fall! Whether you are going with more of a monochromatic look like below or going with lots of color pulled from nature, don’t be afraid to mix textures and patterns as long as the basic color palette is the same.
Don’t be afraid to mix materials. Just like with mix texture above, don’t be afraid to mix materials. From the stained and finished door to the vintage, chippy ladder to the metal bin holding the pumpkins. It all goes but all the different materials and surfaces make the overall look more interesting. I’m loving the painted striped floor!
So now I want to know what you think? Do you love fall as much as I do? If so, share your favorite part about fall and if you have any go-to fall decor!
