It’s Time to Sparkle & Shine
I can’t believe that it is only 2 days away from 2015. This year sure has flown by. I love the New Year. The anticipation of everything “new” to come, what styles will be “in”, and if I will decide to completely get on board with the trends.
The one thing that I can say for sure, is that everyone needs a little sparkle & shine! While doing some web browsing, I found this GORGEOUS dress on pinterest…I think that it would be a great fit to any party, get-together or reception. Possibly even as bridesmaid dresses if you are daring enough.
Of course, if going to this fabulous event (even if it’s at a local dive), you can always accessorize. A simple bracelet, and a nice pair of dangly earrings and a black clutch would do the trick. I would go for a swept-back hairdo, or even a low up-do. Dark eyes, and a bright lip would add the pop of color that you need to complete the look. Add a pair of pumps, and I think that it’s perfect.
It’s Time for a Toast!
And if it’s an event that you are hosting, why not make the champagne bottles match! Here are some quick instructions on how-to sparkle them up! (Image was found on Pinterest!)
- Champagne Bottles (Full!)
- Spray Adhesive / Glue
Lay out the newspaper to well-cover your work space. While holding your champagne bottle by the top, spray the bottom half to 2/3 of it with the adhesive. While it is still tacky, sprinkle your glitter over it. Repeat until the entire bottle is done! Roll up and toss the newspaper & Viola!
It’s Time for a Kiss!
If you will be handing out a little something to each guest, a cute and inexpensive idea is to get some baggies, fill them with gold & silver Hershey Kisses, tie is shut with a metallic ribbon & add a little “Kissing The Year Goodbye” or “Midnight Kisses”, or whatever you come up with! Whatever your plans are for the New Year, I hope that it’s good. I hope that your wishes, hopes and dreams come to pass. I hope that you will be inspired and that you will inspire others.
