After designing Cassandra and Brian’s save the date, they chose to work with us again to design a custom lace and kraft wedding invitation design for them. Cassandra really wanted more than just a lace belly band. She wanted the lace to wrap all the way around the pocketfold. Because her wedding was a mix of rustic and romantic, the paper selections consisted of brown kraft and plain white stocks. The addition of the lace brings in the perfect romantic compliment.
The full lace wrap was a new approach for us but we think the end result is beautiful. Because the lace didn’t function as a true belly band, we decided to close the invitation using the same jute twine as was used on their Save the Dates, and updated the design on the kraft tag to coordinate with their envelope liner.
Speaking of the envelope liner, the design was a combination of a couple of things that Cassandra loved, vintage skeleton keys and a modern take on a traditional monogram. The offset the black with a light beige that matched the color of the kraft paper envelopes. The final design is perfectly customized to the things that Cassandra and Brian love and that most represents who they are and the wedding they are planning.
This is the perfect example of how we love working with a couple to bring their vision to life. The full lace wrap was something out of the ordinary for us but as always, we were willing to try it and we are so glad we did.
