I have always struggled with how much to share personally here at Raspberry Creative. For the most part I have kept it all business and the few times I have tried to get a little more personal, it has always felt wrong. Lately though I’ve been feeling a desire to get a little more personal with you to give you a little idea of who is the behind the business. I still want to keep things professional but give you something more to relate to.
I’ve talked about it already, but this year I have stepped back a bit from things. Instead of pushing the business forward like I have been, I focused more on myself and what’s going on behind the scenes. I have been taking some classes and spending more time planning for the future while still keeping up with online orders. It’s been an interesting year to say the least and I’m getting excited to share with you all that’s been happening over the course of the next couple months.
Today however, I wanted to share just a little bit about my late summer vacation. My husband and I took a week, packed up our 5th wheel, loaded the dogs and headed to Delaware just in time for Hurricane Jose to come up the coast. While the first few days were a bit windy and rainy at times, the rest of the week was perfect summer weather. We spent our days out on the boat, cruising, fishing, crabbing and just relaxing.
One evening B and I took the dogs and went exploring some of the cute coastal towns that we had never been to before. We tried some new restaurants, walked the beach and soaked up what is likely the last of the summer sun. The time away did me good! I feel refreshed and ready to make things happen!
I’m in the shop this week for a few meetings, processing orders and prepping some content for the blog. This weekend I leave to make my way to Las Vegas for the Wedding MBA. I’m really excited about some of the classes this year and I can’t wait to implement what I’ve learned. You can follow along on Instagram @raspberry_creative
