Hello Friends! It’s been a while and I thought it was time to touch base with you and let you know what’s been going on around here.
We’ve been busy! We are averaging between 70 and 80 online orders a month plus our custom projects. Those numbers just blow my mind.
Our custom projects have been more varied this year doing everything from small business identity to baby showers, bridal showers and of course, wedding invitations. We have also started venturing into the digital world, something I’ll be sharing more about this fall.
Personally, I’ve been doing some serious soul searching. I named this year my year of change but have kept pretty silent about it for the most part. Yes, there is some change happening but most of it is on the inside. I’m changing.
For those familiar with our local shop, I’m still the “Basset Hound Lady”. After losing two last year, we added to our family this year when we welcomed Stewie into our home. Stewie, is a four year old white and tan basset hound that seems to be keeping the older dogs active and young. Like the dogs always do, they continue to keep me company in the shop.
Wedding continue to be the thing that keeps us the busiest around here and this year, we customized our glitter, lace and buckle combination yet again with this beautiful version in gold, champagne and ivory. It’s very classy and maybe my favorite of the year! Timelines can get people very tense but I had the pleasure of working with not just the Bride but her parents during this process and for me, it was one of my most enjoyed projects. It felt a little more personal and I think the resulting invitation shows it.
And if online orders and custom projects haven’t been enough, we recently wrapped up this personal stationery project for a client. Keep an eye out for more of this in the shop this fall.
Oh and if you don’t follow RC on Facebook or Instagram, you may have missed that we’ve been looking to add to the team. While we are no longer accepting applications, I have begin the interviewing process and am excited to see what happens next. I think things are gearing up for 2018 in really good ways!
