It’s hard to believe that spring is just a few days away! It seems like this winter has been dragging on, and I’m most certainly ready to see the sights of spring. So…I am. I’m writing this from the Sunshine State where it is currently 75 degrees and sunny!
I needed a break from the cold, dreary weather of Pennsylvania, so Kate (my little one) and I got on a plane and 2 hours later, we were here! We’ve had beautiful weather since we’ve been here. I can understand why so many people flee from the north to the south for months at a time.
Anyway…while I’ve been here, I’ve seen so many colors mixed together. There are these gorgeous yellow blossoming trees that are in full bloom, mixed with red-orange hibiscus and then random colored flowers mixed all around. I just love the colors.
With that being said, I think that we should also incorporate some of these colors into our work. I took Beth’s Save-The-Date design and gave it the feel of sunshine! Pink writing, orange flowers, a green tag; and wrap it together with some natural burlap string.
I think that you could easily use all of these colors in wedding invitations too. You could use some citrus fruit to decorate your tables; bright flowers in your bouquet; different colored bridesmaids dresses; even your shoes could be bright! I’d like to just call it “Happiness.”
It’s hard to not look at these colors together and think happy thoughts and feel the warmth of the spring/summer seasons!
Be daring…trying mixing orange and pink or green and yellow! If they are within the same tones, it will look great!
Happy Sunshine Season is coming…
Greetings from Florida,
