This blog has been a challenge for me since starting it. I love writing about as much as I love designing but balancing a product based business while still having the right amount of time to create quality content is extremely hard when there is only so much time in a day for a solopreneur.
As I’ve slowly worked on the blog, I’ve wrestled with the right balance of information to share. On one had, I want every aspect of my business to feel professional, I also feel that my work is somewhat personal and therefore, my audience should know there is a living, breathing, imperfect, woman that works hard but makes mistakes and doesn’t always have it together.
I recently completed a couple of courses and one of the things that has really been going through my mind over and over again is finding a way to bring some of that behind-the-scenes, more personal stuff into the blog (and business) while still being professional. I tend to support businesses that I can make a personal connection with whether it’s liking the owner’s vibe, style, etc. or I have something in common with them. The same is true for my business so you’ll see some more changes coming.
I shared a bit about some upcoming changes with my RC Tribe earlier this week and one of the things that’s changing is the blog. After trying out monthly themes here on the blog, it began to feel like I was always waiting to share just the thing I felt my audience needed / wanted to see or hear. Rather than sticking to one theme throughout an entire month, I’m breaking things down like this: Mondays will be all about Weddings, Wednesdays will be anything non-wedding related with maybe some DIY projects thrown in, and Fridays will be the fun day where I’ll share something behind-the-scenes or from my personal life.
One of the fun things about being my own boss is that I can make changes or try new things whenever I want. I don’t want to changes all the time and just on a whim but change sometimes has to happen to keep things moving forward. Today’s post was supposed to be a little back story of how Raspberry Creative came to be, but instead it turned into this and that’s OK.
Of course, I’d always love to hear what you think or if you would love to see something I’m missing. It you that I’m doing this for so your thoughts mean a lot!

What’s coming Up Next Week:
Monday I’ll be sharing a current trend in wedding invitations and will be featuring some brand-new designs that I haven’t shared anywhere else yet.
Wednesday I’ll be featuring some adult (family friend) birthday party invitations. Ok, yes, there is a bit of a theme going on this month with birthdays but my Mr.’s birthday is this month!
Friday I’ve got a little personal story planned around my 4-legged family members. Lots of cute dog photos coming!
