I’m trying to keep the Valentine’s Day theme going this week so today I thought I’d explore the idea of a Valentine’s Day theme for a wedding. I immediately thought of all the typical “cheese” that one might think of but I believe that if you can refrain from going too over-the-top a Valentine Wedding really could be classy and beautiful.
If you are in a cold climate like we are here in central PA, don’t be afraid to play up the winter temps. I love everything about this wedding from the rustic textures to the pops of red and that it isn’t super formal while still being wedding appropriate.
Keep the color palette classic and simple with a lovely shade of red and white or ivory.
If red dresses are too much, mix in a lovely shade of gray for balance. I found this to be a very popular color palette and I love that it is the perfect balance between masculine and feminine. If you like this color combination, you should check out more inspiration here.
Don’t be afraid to have fun. I love the arrow but it’s done in a way that is still elegant.
Break from the traditional tiered cake and do a fun heart shape.
Or break from the traditional cake and go for some cute and festive mini pies. These would also make great favors.
Keep details simple. I love just the simple ribbon and hand-written name tag. This would be perfect for a small, more intimate wedding.
Have fun. Be creative.
