I was out of the studio this week while I attended the Wedding MBA in Las Vegas. The WMBA is an intensive three day conference /convention for wedding professionals. The three days are packed full of educational seminars and a trade show exposing so many amazing wedding related businesses to each other. This was my second year attending and I’m really excited about everything that I learned. I’ve already begun putting together an action plan for myself and the business so that I can better serve you!
I landed in Las Vegas on Sunday morning and I think we all know how Sunday ended. I continue to pray for all the families that lost loved ones and for those recovering from their injuries. I was awakened in the middle of the night by phone call from family making sure I was safe only to realize the scene was unfolding outside my hotel window. I heard the concert and later heard sirens but didn’t realize until the phone rang and then turning on the news to realize just what was going on. This will most definitely be a trip I will never forget. The events of Sunday night cast a very dark shadow over the entire city.
While most of the time was spent sitting in conference rooms listening to speakers and learning all that I could, I did get out each evening for dinner before retiring to my room to crash and recharge for the next day. I’m clearly not much of a party person but I was there to learn and that’s what I did. The conference was 4500 wedding pros strong and I met some really amazing people.
