Welcome to a brand new series here on the blog. I’m so excited about this fun little addition to my week. Every Saturday, we’ll be sharing some kind of roundup from color palettes, party themes, diy projects and so much more! It’s a chance to for us to share inspiration from around the web that we put our own little RC spin on!
Today, our very first of this fun little series, was inspired by the outfit I wore on Valentine’s Day. I went bold with a color-block look of dark plum jeans and a pinky-peach lace top. On their own, these two pieces can be tricky to style because of their more unique colors, but I just loved how they looked together and thought what a great color palette that would be for a wedding or party.
With my outfit as my starting point, I rounded up some beautiful images to show you just how these colors come together for a beautiful event!
I’m sure there are some of you out there scrunching your nose and that’s fine but I’ve started my round up with a plum because I feel like you can never go wrong with color combinations found in nature. This one definitely is!
Whether your style is rustic, classic or more formal, this color palette is perfect. I also love that it can be used all year round by simply changing up the how much of each color you use from the primary color to the accent.
If the colors alone are too much, tone them down with neutrals like white or ivory, grey or taupe or even lighter shades of purple. You can have more than one or two colors in your palette as long as they all feel tied together.
Style & Home
If a wedding or party isn’t in your future, have no fear. You can use this color palette to inspire your personal style or decor as well.
