Our Process

Navigating the wedding stationery ordering process can feel a bit overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be!  Here at RC, we’ve taken our years of experience and created a streamlined ordering system that makes that turns the paper process into what many clients have told us is their most enjoyable aspect of your wedding planning.  Simply follow the steps below and in no time at all your wedding suite will be delivered to your door and checked off your wedding planning to-do list.

1. Find Your Inspiration

Scroll our wide selection of wedding invitation collections, all designed in-house and curated with our clients in mind so they perfectly set the tone for your wedding.

Click on “Weddings” and navigate to “Complete Wedding Collections” and then to “Wedding Invitations” to discover our range of designs designed with your unique taste in mind.

You can also navigate to “Browse Complete Collections” to see complete collections including save the dates, wedding invitations, and a variety of day-of paper.


2. Customize

Once you’ve found your ideal design you can customize it by adjusting colors, fonts, adding colored envelopes and adding any combination of upgrades and add-on items such as wax seals, vellum jackets, envelope liners and more.

You can even customize your design by combining more than one design by mixing and matching design elements to create the perfect design for your wedding day.  Add a venue sketch or change to a different crest – whatever you need to make your wedding invitations just right.

3. Place your Order

There are three ways to place your order.

Option 1:  Order through our Etsy Shop
If you are looking to keep things simple with minimal design changes or add-ons, this is the quickest and easiest way to order  your invitations.

Option 2:  Order through our Site
If you know what you want and are ready to get started customizing your wedding stationery, fill out the form included on each listing page.  You’ll see a variety of options that you can include in your suite.  You can see a running total at the bottom of the form as you add each element to your package. Once you have completed your form and are ready to purchase, click submit and you’ll be taken to your invoice where you’ll be required to pay your 50% retainer.  The balance is due at the time of final art approval before printing.

Option 3:  Save my Date
if you prefer to get started on the design but are still finalizing your guest list or undecided on just what add-ons and upgrades you want to include, you can contact me and I’ll be happy to set up a custom invoice for a non-refundable deposit that will book your date and allow us to get started on the design without placing a full order right away.  this deposit will apply to your package total once finalized.

4. Proofing

Once you submit your order (or pay your deposit), you’ll be emailed our wording form for your to fill out for the wording for all the pieces in your wedding suite.  Once your wording form is submitted and confirmed that it’s completed in full, the design process will officially be initiated.  Please allow 2-3 business days for your proofs to be completed.  Once completed, your proofs, and a digital mock-up of your complete suite, will be emailed to you for your review and comments.  For wedding invitation orders placed on our website, I don’t limit the number of proofs so we’ll keep working on your design until everything is perfect!

Proofing times can vary, taking anywhere from just a few days to a few weeks, depending on the number of rounds and the level of design changes requested.


5. Printing, Production & Shipping

Printing and production begins only after your written approval is received.  For digital printing, most orders take around 2 weeks to be printed.  Letterpress and foil can take 3-4 weeks.  In addition to printing times, additional time is required for assembly and final inspection before your order is packed for shipping to you.  Production times will vary depending on the level of finish work required to complete your order.

Standard shipping is included in your package and includes basic tracking and insurance.  All wedding invitation orders above $800 are shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
